
Suggest Treatment For Irregular Heat Beats And Premature Ventricular Contractions

I have just a few questions. I have went in depth trying to resolve my irregular beat and PVC's that I have history with. The AFIB I have not had since the cardioversion and Cpap machine. I however do get PVC's and thats what I am trying to understand. Maybe this is life moving forward. So for the past 1.5 years since being put on nadalol I have had no tach issues or AFIB. Back in July I ate some pizza (more than I should) and felt really full. I also refilled my prescription and they gave me another generic form of nadalol (yellow pill vs Blue pill) same dose. I started getting PVC's at 2 a minute for days. I went to firehouse and 12 lead revealed PVC's wide and bizarre and pulse was 68. They didnt see a worry so i left. I switched backed to blue nadalol pills and started taking magnesium and after a few days all PVC's went away. Still away except occasional
QUESTION 1- was it the gerd or different generic medicine you think?
When I lay down or sit on couch I seem to get PVC's, I could go a whole day not feeling any but when I sit reclined a bit I feel them say 1 every 3-5 minutes. If I sit straight up they appear to go away. When I lay down and lay on left or right I can feel PVC's here and there. I also feel its harder to breath, its not hard but when I lay on my back the PVC's go away and the breathing is so easy
QUESTION 2-Why are PVC's happening more based on position?
My last question is my pulse, my heart rate stays between 56-65 all day long basically unless I walk or move. The PVC's all occur on the low side of beats say 56-63. When moving around I really dont feel or have caught them.
QUESTION 3-Why does the PVC's appear to occur at resting heart rate
Overall i feel great except tired sometimes mostly probably due to a 60 heart rate.

1. First of all, why exactly do you think that you have PVC? How long does it last? PVCs are unlikely to be associated with posture. PVCs would start suddenly, continue for a certain duration, then go away on its own. The positional variation makes GERD more probable. In PVC the heart rate will be continuously above 160-200 per min during the episodes.
2. The mentioned pulse rate is not indicative of PVC. Rather it is in favour of GERD.
3. PVCs do not occur at resting heart rate. GERD does. You have GERD.

I wanted to convey to you that PVCs rise randomly and not in response to something. You have just mentioned the exact same thing. I was not saying that you do not have PVCs.
GERD has a role of vagus nerve since it is associated with secretion of stomach acids. But the role is not a direct one.
Vitamins and minerals will not help. Rather, you need to do the following:
* Avoid spicy food. Take small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps between meals.
* Avoid alcohol intake (if it a part of your habit).
* Take Prilosec (omeprazole) once daily before breakfast.
* Take plenty of green leafy vegetables as well as other sources of dietary fibers. Take fiber supplements like isabgol/psyllium husk or senna. I would insist you to increase your dietary fiber intake.
* Regular morning walk and exercise to keep the bowel movements proper.
* If I had a patient like you I would perhaps have suggested Prodep 20 mg tablet once daily for at least 2 months (it may take time for the action to set in).
* Take curd or yogurt on daily basis. It contains beneficial bacteria and should help.
* Yoga and meditation should help.
