Suggest Treatment For Irregular Periods When Suffering From PCOD
Question: Hi Doctor,
I am writing this mail behalf of my wife. She has PCOD. It used to take 40 days to get her periods before her delivery. After delivery, it was bit normal and was coming within 30 to 34 days. But now, she is not getting her periods correctly and we consulted one Gynec, and she gave meprate tablet 10 mg for 5 days (1-0-1) and gave Krimson table to continue for 3 months after that. Meprate tablet is over on last Saturday and today is the 4th day but still she is not getting her periods.
What we have to do in this case.
Note: We conducted pregnancy test 2 times with the kit and it came out negative.
Thanks,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
wait for some time
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir thanks for trusting health care magic.
Firstly I would like to tell you that the treatment prescribed to her is perfectly fine and is according to international guidelines and will help her resume her good pattern of periods.
As she stopped taking meprate only 4 days back she needs to wait for q couple of days more because it takes around 2-7 days for withdrawal bleeding to take place.
And PCOD people take usually longer to get withdrawal.
So don't be anxious and just wait for a few days for periods and start with pack of krimson 35 and take it regularly.
All the best.
