Brief Answer: antibiotic + steroid combination cream Detailed Answer: Hello dear, Welcome to healthcaremagic. I have read your query and understood your concern. Thanks for attaching the pic. It seems you have got IRRITANT CONTACT DERMATITIS due to application of undiluted dettol on traumatic skin. You have applied fusigen which is an antibiotic cream. It has helped in healing of the abraded skin and in preventing secondary infection. I usually advice my patients to apply a combination of antibiotic like mupirocin and mild to moderate potency steroid like fluticasone over the lesion initially with good results. It will help in reducing the inflammation and pigmentation. Later if required depigmenting agents containing creams like combination of kojic acid and vitamin C is suggested. You may start using steroid and antibiotic combination cream for few days under supervision. This will help in improving your scar. This is my best advice for you with these details. if you have further query, you may ask me. i will be happy to help you further. Good luck.

Hi Doctor, I am applying your suggested medicine (Futop B) and there is no improvement but i think that its getting worse as I am starting to get little pimples on that particular area. Brief Answer: stop futop B cream Detailed Answer: Hello dear, Welcome again. The steroid and antibiotic cream like Futop B are applied only for maximum of 7-10 days as i mentioned in my earlier posts. If used for prolonged periods may lead to side effects like pimples etc. So i strongly advice you to stop it if you are still applying it and use mupirocin 2 % cream twice daily for 7-10 days. If itchy, you may take antihistaminics like levocetrizine/fexofenadine night time. Don't scrub the area. regards Dr. Charu Bansal

Brief Answer: pimple like lesions need to be treated first Detailed Answer: Hello friend, I guess you are talking about the same scar which you got after shave. If yes, I will advice you to apply mupirocin first. Once those pimple like lesions are gone, you kindly send me a pic again. Accordingly then I will advice you depending on the scar. I hope it helps.

Brief Answer: Improvement is evident Detailed Answer: Hello, Welcome again. I have compared both pre and post treatment pics of yours. I can appreciate a marked improvement in your lesion. The pigmentation and redness has reduced a lot and that irritant look has completely gone. Now in the recent pic, i can see very mild erythema. It will go spontaneously in sometime or you can put Futop B again on alternate day basis. Still if you feel, you have no improvement, you can share my opinion with your dermatologist. I am sure he/she agree to with my opinion. If you still have query, please ask. Good luck.
