Brief Answer:
Possible herpes zoster

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your question.
I read it carefully and I understand your concern.

Is there any lesion visible in the skin or only the itchiness and burning sensation? Can you upload a photo? If nothing evident, can you mark the area with a pen and send a photo?

I suspect it is herpes zoster.
Any other information related may help.

Looking forward to your follow up question.

Regards, Dr.Papaqako

Dear Dr. Papaqaco: thank you for your quick response, and please review related info: A. I've a burning & itchy patch of skin on the right upper forearm. B. It gets worse a few hours after a meal; toward bedtime; and at night when sleeping on the right side, apparently with an inrush of blood there.
I made a photo of the right forearm but am unable to hook up a copy here. Besides, there nothing there except a few small red dots left by scratching.
I'd be grateful if you can suggest something to lull the itching.
Thank you in advance =

Brief Answer:
Not anymore possible herpes but more an eczema

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

I reviewed carefully your extra information.
A photo would be much more clear.
Because have been almost 4 days now and not getting worse, I am pretty sure now that it is not herpes and its most probably just eczema.

So I would recommend to use a mild steroid cream, which will relive the inflamation, the itchy sensation and heal gradually for 1-2 weeks.
Use Hydrocortisone 1% or Triamcinolone 1%, once or twice/day, thin layer for 2 weeks.

Let me know if you need more clarifications.
Otherwise please kindly close and rate the answer.

Regards,
Dr.Papaqako
