Suggest Treatment For Itching And Redness In Scrotum?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Recently my scrotum has developed in itch and the surface has become reddish. I have become partially incontinent in recent months and sometimes wet my underwear and had to change it nearly every day. Sometimes I have worn absorbent briefs to avoid public embarrassment, and sometimes ended up with
wearing somewhat soggy underwear for more than a couple of hours. Is it possible the rash is due to
acidic urine? What might be the best treatment?

Dear Sir
Redness and itching of scrotum is likely to be due fungal dermatitis , which is usually associated with presence of excessive moisture or urine. Exact diagnosis will however depend on clinical examination. Providing clinical photograph will be helpful.
Local application of combination of steroid and anti-fungal ointment will be helpful. Keeping the area clean and dry is equally important to prevent further aggravating the lesion
