Suggest Treatment For Itching And Swelling On Hands And Legs
Question: I think i was bit by bed bug on butt and back legs big welts itching and now my hands fingers very swollen hands have no visable welt but swollen is this bedbug
Hi I was in a hotel room bed and after laying down for an hour my butt and legs began itching really bad when i checked them out I had raised welts from the to of my butt crack down through the back of my legs on both sides...i took some benadryl to reduce the itching and was concernd it was bed bugs. Today my fingers/hands swelled up dramatically and I am still taking benadryl..?! They are so swollen and painful not sure what. I should do..? Is this a typical reaction from a bed bug bite?

Hello,
It may be due to bed bug bite or other allergic reaction.
If it is bed bug bite yes, it can cause allergic or anaphylaxis reactions, I suggest you antihistamines like cetrizine 10 mg twice a day and also Caladrly topical application.
I also suggest you anti inflammatory medications like Tylenol for pain twice a day.
If your symptoms persist then I suggest you visit ER.
