Suggest Treatment For Itching On Labia

Question: Hello,
I have had an itchy area on my left labia majora for several months that comes and goes every few days to a week. I usually have 1 or 2(max) pimple like bumps that itch for a day and then not for a few days before the cycle repeats. The itching and the bump disappear and then a couple days later will be raised and itchy again. They never fill with fluid or pop, just raise(become noticeable) with some itch and then disappear only to start that cycle over again after a few days to a week.
The itch and any bump is always in the same spot and if I can avoid scratching, they diminish quicker. If I do itch too much it seems like it becomes red and irritated like a rash and the bump is more flat. It never scabs over and I have been tested for herpes multiple times and it was negative. I was even given Acyclovir just in case and there was no change. I haven't been sexually active for 8 months and have been tested recently. My ex was also tested recently and was negative for any STD.
I am at a loss as to what it could be because doctors always say that herpes would not be constant and the bumps would subside after they pop and blister. Since I have been tested and am free and clear of any STD, I really don't know why these bumps would always be in the same spot on the same side of my labia majora. It looks like a pimple but I am only affected in that same area, it never spreads anywhere else and I never seem to have long periods of time where it doesn't occur. It also rarely affects me during my period.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Brief Answer:
lichen simplex chronicus
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
From the description it seems you could be having lichen simplex chronicus, a type of eczema over your labia.Itching and scratching exacerbates it.
Now to confirm the diagnosis I would require a pic of affected area. Here I would like to stress that we maintain complete privacy of our patients and the pic can only be viewed by the doctor.
You can upload the pic by clicking on upload report/image icon which is on right side of query page.
Lichen simplex is treated by oral antihistamines and potent topical steroids.
Upload the pic so that an appropriate diagnosis can be made.
Hoping to hear from you soon.

The uploaded picture represents left labia on right with the pink raised area. Slightly irritated due to prior scratching.

Hi,
Thanks for uploading the pic.
The lesions looks eczematous.
To treat the same, my suggestions are'
Oral antihistamine like levocetirizine 5 mg twice daily
Steroid antibiotic cream like mometasone fusidic acid cream twice in a day
Also keep the area completely dry. You may also use any absorbent antifungal dusting powder to keep the area dry.
You may follow these suggestions for a week and get back for follow up by reactivating the link.
