Question: Hi Doctor
I got this mole (see attached image) on left aide of my neck few days back. I dont know how. A couple of days back I felt like itching in this and I did, since then it has became redish and it started paining. Please advise. Appreciate your help.

Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I am Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, a dermatologist.
I have reviewed the attached photograph and it is looking like either an inflammed sebaceous cyst or inflammed mole.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you take a course of oral and topical antibiotics.
I would recommend you to take tablet containing combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid 625 mg twice daily for 7 days and apply mupirocin cream on the inflammed area twice daily.
For swelling and redness I would have advised you to take anti inflammatory medicines like a tablet containing combination of diclofenac and serratiopeptidase twice daily for 3 days.
These should reduce the inflammation.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
Once the inflammation subsides then consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated again and if required go for its removal.
