Suggest Treatment For Itchy And Sensitive Skin On Arms, Shoulders And Neck
Atopic dermatitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to healthcaremagic.com
I read history given by you. It seems that you may be having atopic diathesis which is responsible for your skin disease. And that may be called atopic dermatitis. It is a skin disease caused by allergens either contactants ,inhalants or oral allergens..However, you consult dermatologist and have firm diagnosis. Contact allergic dermatitis may be there due to contactants....
Blood tests may be done to rule out internal diseases like DM,renal diseases and other diseases.
Your skin may be hypersensitive to many allergens. Keep your skin protected from house dust, house dustmites, soap, detergents, grass, pollens, cosmetics, woolen clothes, deodarant, fragrance..etc. Sometimes, systemic allergic dermatitis may be there due to dietary factors like cows milk, nuts, sea food..etc
Antihistaminics like levocetirizine or desloratidine may be taken to relieve itchiness. If needed, oral steroid may be taken in tappering dose. Mild steroid cream like mometasone or tacrolimus oint may be applied on the affected on the affected areas. Keep the skin moist. Avoid soap during bath. Avoid contacts with suspected allergens.
You may continue treatment till you feel better. I hope this would be helpful in managing your disease.
Still, any query..you may ask.
Thanks..
