Question: Hi Doctor. I am suffering from skin rashes and itching for the past one year. The main problem is that the rashes and itching is on my hips and in between legs. I was using a cream named Fouderm first. Whenever I stop the usage it comes back again. Recently when I visited a Medical shop they told me to use Clobeta GM, another cream and using the same since two weeks. Its good. But I need a permanent solution and I searched through internet and little bit worried that whether it is Psoriasis or not. I am working in an office and sitting long hours at office daily and my skin is hairy too. I also use alcohol sometimes. I am also sending pictures of the affected area. Kindly guide me sir.

Brief Answer:
Possible Tinea Cruris.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I understand your concern.

I have gone through your uploaded images in detail.

This possibly looks like fungal infection-Tinea Cruris a superficial fungal infection of body folds.

This is common in occupational settings you mentioned.

For this kind of infection, I advise both topical and systemic therapy.

Topical therapy for Clobeta GM can be continued as prescribed.

For systemic therapy, I generally prescribe oral tablets of Terbinafine for 3 weeks one tab a day. Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe them to you.

This therapy should be effective in eliminating the infection.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
