Suggest Treatment For Itchy Sensation Near The Anus

Question: Hi, I am a 52 y/o blk male; normal bp; normal cholesterol; no medications; no problem with urination or bowel movements; non smoker; active with walking, running and some biking. Over the past month, I have had an itchy sensation in the anus region. It was predominately at night, but now it is during the day. The best way to describe it is an "awareness" of the area. It isn't painful, but more annoying. Your thoughts? Thank you
Brief Answer:
pin worm infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for query.
I saw the message. As per history given by you, its clearly evident that you are having pin worm infection. It occurs due to human to human transmission or autoinfection. It is also known as seat worm which causes itching and irritation over anal region, because of eggs layed by the worm near anus.
You can just take Tab albendazole 400mg once daily at bed time for 2 days and you will be absolutely fine.
Drink plenty of water, avoid meat for few days.
Get back if any query.
