Suggest Treatment For Knee Pain

I'm suffering from regular knee pains. I had consulted a doctor and he gave me some pain killers. But the pain is still continuing. What should be the remedy for this?
You may have osteoarthritis of the knee
Detailed Answer:
Hello madam,
I have read your query and it looks to me that you are having both side knee arthritis. This is age related degeneration of the knee joint. In this patient complains of pain in knee, can not use stairs or sit on floor.
It can be confirmed by x rays. Treatment depends on pain and stage of disease on x ray.
Till you show it to your doctor I recommend following.
1. Avoid sitting and squatting on floor.
2. Take calcium and vitamin d
3. Diclofenac ointment local application
4. Brufen tablet for pain
There is role of steroid injection and hot water fomentation.
If disease is advanced then you need surgery. I hope this answer will help you. Let me know if you want to ask any other questions. Thanks and take care.

We've already got the xray done. Xray report shows that the area around knee joint has less of moisture. It has dried up. What should be the preferred food and preferred medicine for it.
Report exactly says that there is reduced joint space. Degenerative changes seen at the articular surface. It also indicates that this is Osteoarthiris.
Calcium is best medicine
Detailed Answer:
Hello madam,
Joint space once reduced can not be gain. There are many cartilage supplements like glucosamine or chondritin available in market but none has proven effect. There are other drugs like hyaluronic injection available but I do not use them as I have not found any effect in my patients.
If you want to know about food, then best is to take low calorie low fat diet. If you will loose weight your knee will have to bear less load so their degeneration will stop. Also calcium rich food like milk, egg should be taken, so your bone will be stronger.
All patients with arthritis also have pain due to osteoporosis . That is why I recommend you calcium rich diet.
So take calcium and vitamin d. These are best drugs. Follow instructions I have given in my first answers. Your pain will be 50 to 60 percent less. Let me know if you want to ask any other questions. Thanks and take care.
