obstructive uropathy

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

I have gone through the attached report and according to it is obvious that a large intrauterine fibroid is blocking the ureter. The blocked ureter is causing the enlarged uterus

The best solution is to undergo hysterectomy, however since you are planning to have kids I recommend that you undergo bilateral dj stenting for the hydrouretonephrosis and enquire with the gynaecologist if hormonal therapy can take care of the large fibroid. There are surgical procedures done to remove the fibroid and salvage the uterus as much as possible.

But I agree with your doctor that it needs to be taken care of immediately as it carries risk of damaging your kidneys permanenantly

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

Thank you.

Are you suggesting I do the procedure or the kidney pending the fibroid one?
Since the fibroid is alleged to have caused this couldn't it revert again? What is the time for this procedure normally and how much time do I have after this procedure to be able to do anything on fibroids?

Is it sometime possible to deal with the fibroids and kidney same time, same surgery? No one likes surgeries anyway, perhaps only plastic surgery for those desiring more beauty!

Hello

Thanks for getting back

If I were to be your doctor I would go like this

1. I would stent your kindeys
2.I would speak to the Obstetrics department about how we can salvage the uterus so that you can get pregnant.

The procedure has to be done immediately without delay. I would like you to get it done immediately without any further delay. There is no specific time frame as such.

It is possible to deal with fibroids and kidney at the same time. However co ordinating would be difficult. So I suggest you to get the stenting done immediately as it is a relatively small procedure, usually done under local anesthetia.
