
Suggest Treatment For Left Index Finger Pain

Question: Pain above my left pointer finger above knuckle ..i think it's called the metacarpal bone? it is very sore to the touch like i have bruised the bone or something but no injury..what could this be ? I worry about MRSA or cellulitis...not red or anything though

I have studied your case and I think that you are having tenosynovitis. In this condition there is inflammation of the tendon.This is due to overuse or some time it can be due to Trauma.
Before I advised you anything I would like to know little detail of your illness.
1.It is good if you can send me image of your hand with a marker on that site.
2.Are you do lot of typing on laptop or mobile?

sure I uploaded a pic of my hand and circled where it is sore..then I uploaded a pic of the back of my neck because something weird is going on and I'm not sure what. sorry it is unrelated but I am worried

Thanks for replying. I have studied your reports. Most common cause of pain in that region is tenosynovitis or tendon inflammation. It is not a serious problem and it improves with rest and hot water fomentation. You can apply volition gel and take a Etorixoxib tablet.
As far as your neck is concerned most probably it is allergic dermatitis. I would recommend you to take a skin specialist advise.

You can get treatment of hand problem at home as I mentioned earlier. But for neck problem It would be better for you to see a skin specialist. Some time skin lesions can become more violent after application of creams at home. Do not apply soapor shampoo also.

Okay what about an over the counter hydrocortisone cream ? I also have polysporin, neosporin, and medihoney...

Okay. I cannot see a skin specialist this week. That is why i am asking. Can I ask why no antibiotic?

Thank you :) And as for my hand...i did forget to mention that the other day i had blood and mucous in my stool..it didn't happen again after the first time but my hand started hurting the day of or the day after i cannot remember. Could it be a clot in my hand?
