Suggest Treatment For Left-sided Bump On Neck

default
Posted on Tue, 15 Sep 2015
Question: I have a very small bump on the left side of my neck just below my jawline. It doesn't hurt, but it's been there about 2 months. It feels like it's under the skin. I should also mention that I had a tooth pulled on the right side of my mouth in XXXXXXX and I've been chewing mostly on the left side since.

Brief Answer:
This is most likely a swollen lymph gland!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this small bump that you have reported. The nature, area and surrounding circumstances make this suggestive of a swollen gland. There grow bigger in response to infection and am sure that what happened. Small sizes are no problem but very big sizes are of concern as they may be suggestive of a disease process.

For now, there is nothing to panic about. Monitor only to see if it grows bigger or not. Only seek further medical care if you feel it is growing bigger. Otherwise, all is okay.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
