Suggest Treatment For Limping And Pain While Walking

Needs evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thank you for the question.
Did you mean to say " i will be walking with a limp " ?
From your older questions,it seems that you have suffered from an accident earlier.
Problem in legs with a limp can be due to various reasons.
Most probable causes are-
1.Lower back spondylitis or lumbar intervertebral disc prolapse - In this case, due to a inflammed ,compressed nerve ,the pain can radiate in the legs. To avoid this pain,a persons often tries to limp.
2.Problems in the joints-hip,knee,ankle- Few conditions like arthritis or synovitis of any of these joints can cause you to limp.
3.Limb length discrepancy- If you have sustained lower limb trauma during the accident, then it may result in shortening of one of the limbs, causing you to limp.
All these conditions need further evaluation by doing an mri / xray of the concerned part. I suggest you should get these basic investigations done.
Let me know when the reports are ready. Thank you.
Kind regards

Hi XXXX
If the xrays and MRI were normal, then the limp may be due to muscular reasons. If the muscle tone is not optimum then this ccan cause limping.
A physiotherapy session of 10-15 days to regain good muscle tone and strength will be helpful.
As far as neck pain is concerned, you can do neck exercises and take anti inflammatory tablets to get relief . Avoid using pillows during sleep, instead use a rolled cloth beneath your neck .
Thanks

Can be traumatic arthritis
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Arthritis due to hereditary reasons is not expected at your age. It can happen after menopause in late 40s.
If the accident had damaged any of your joint, then it can cause arthritisat this age.
If you could tell me the details of the accident and the injuries that you had suffered that time, then i can guide you better.
If possible, attach the concerned reports,if you have any.
Thank you.
Kind Regards

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Though the mri you did immediately after trauma was normal, the healing process of the blunt trauma and the associated soft tissue inflammation would not have been proper due to inadequate rest taken at that time.
Swelling can be due to hypoproteinemia,or excessive standing.
Start on protein supplements.
Leg elevation over the pillow while you sleep, will help reduce the swelling.
Take adequate rest . Physiotherapy and yoga should be done to fasten the recovery process.
Thanks you

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
I think it was a blunt trauma to your muscles and soft tissues at that time,as the mri was normal.
The muscles have not regained their original strength and tone, thats why they are still giving you pain.
Do physiotherapy and exercises regularly as i have mentioned before.
Avoid standing for long periods of time.
I hope the answer was useful.
Thank you.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
Best thing would be if you could take leave from the job for about a week and take complete rest at home.
But if this is not possible, and if your job demands standing for a long time, then you should take small breaks of atleast 5 minutes every hourly and try and sit comfortably during this break.
Thank you.

take care
