Suggest Treatment For Lipoma
Question: This question is about Lipoma. I noticed a while back, several months to a year, that I have a firm, movable, mass on my side, in a roll of fat (the dreaded "love handles") It hasn't grown, is not painful, and what I have read about Lipoma has me convinced that this is a tumor made of fat. Anyway, I've lost almost 20 pounds by exercising over the last 3 months. Is a Lipoma tumor something I can burn away with exercise?
Brief Answer:
No it can not be burn away.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Lipoma is a benign tumor. But still its a tumor. It means that it is build of mutated cells. This cells are similar to fat cells. The difference is that lipoma cells do not listen to the immune system and multiply without a control.
It is benign what means it does not gives metastases and do not involve surrounding tissues while growing. But it grows constantly (quicker or slower). And it can not be burned like a normal fat tissue.
The only way to get rid of it is to remove it.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
