Suggest Treatment For Liver Cancer
Question: I have a friend who is male and 58 years old. He has liver cancer and is currently in remission. He has had severe stomach issues and not sure what is going on. Oncologist says everything fine, internal doctor said everything is fine and said that it was stress. He is unable to keep anything down and when he feels sick the symptoms seem to be -- extremely cold (even when it is not cold outside), will either throw up or have diarrhea, lose complete color in his face and sometimes feels totally disoriented where he is unable to even speak. He gets relief from soaking in a hot tub and "floating". Not sure to get other opinions from other internal medical doctors. Could it be some type of allergy - could a gluten allergy cause these symptoms?
Brief Answer:
no...
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
anxiety seems like the most likely cause of these symptoms since both the oncologist and the internist could not find substantive findings about anything. Allergic reactions are not supposed to present this way. One could think that the tumor made him feel nauseous or cold but the oncologist does not believe so.
His inability to speak can only be attributed to either a transient ischemic attack) or to anxiety. I can't think of anything else. Relief from entering the hot tub is very much in favor of anxiety as well.
Anxiety is not easy to document. The doctor has to rule out any other potential cause first.
I hope you find my comments helpful!
Kind Regards!
