Suggest Treatment For Loose Motion And Vomiting
Question: Age 56 years..suffering from loose motion and vomitting tendency for 2 months what to do? Doctor suggested to take metrogyl for the life time. ( already have gall bladder removed and undergone course of liver TB for 9 months)

Metrogyl for lifetime may control your symptoms but antibiotic for so long has adverse effects. We have to find the reason behind this chronic diarrhea. I would suggest you the following-
Modify your diet. Take small frequent meals a day. Take more fruits and dietary fibers. Avoid fatty or junk food.
Start exercising like brisk walking, jogging etc. These increase metabolism.
You can take metrogyl or ofloxacin-ornidazole combination for 7days.
You can take normaxin-RT twice daily for 15days along with.
You can take ursodeoxycolic acid 150mg twice daily.
You can take pantoprazole-levosulpiride combination once daily before breakfast.
Get a complete hemogram, liver function test and colonoscopy done.
You can consult your doctor for prescription of the above.
