Suggest Treatment For Loose Skin Near Uvula

Question: I have had sinus problems all my life but this is a newly developed symptom. On both sides of my uvula it looks like skin hanging down. I do not feel sick but this is bothersome. I am looking to resolve the issue without seeking a doctor. I have been to an ENT and I know that a regular MD will suggest the same and I do not want to go. The only thing that is really bothersome is I have a low tolerance and gag easily and sometimes when I drink soda it causes my uvula to stick to the skin and then I start to gag. Any information you have that I could do for a natural cure, I would truly appreciate it. Thanks, XXXX

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query.
In my opinion, as per your history you might be having enlarged uvula with bilateral enlarged tonsils.
This enlarged uvula when it gets stuck to the posterior pharyngeal wall, you will have gag reflex. Please send us the photo so that we can guide you better.

Brief Answer:
Looks like mucosal fold. Does not need any treatment.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your follow up query and I have gone through the image.
As per the image you have sent, it looks like a mucosal fold on either side of uvula. It is not a disease, nor does it cause any problems. Does not need any treatment. Your uvula is elongated causing gag reflex. Probable cause can be reflux disease, allergy Or infection.
This needs clinical evaluation and treatment. If I were your treating doctor, I would have prescribed serratiopeptidase tablets for this for a week.
Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks. Sorry for the delayed response.
