Suggest Treatment For Low Vit D Levels
All Paramaters are good, except Vit D
Detailed Answer:
Hello there, thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic.
I see that you got some comprehensive blood work done from ThyroCare. I have gone through all 17 pages of reports and I am very happy with the results. The only issue i saw was that your Vitamin D levels are slightly Low. In general that is nothing to worry about in a 45 year old male such as yourself.
But to make sure that these levels come to within normal over the next few months, i would suggest you get some sun exposure. Try and go for a walk during the morning hours where you will get some sun exposure. Vitamin D is made in the skin when you are exposed to the sun. In today's day and age when we spend most time in doors, we all tend to have low Vitamin D levels due to the lack of sun exposure.
So, based on these reports, just go for a walk on a daily basis and you should be fine.
Is there a query about a specific test that you had? Why did you get the blood work done in the first place?
Take Care,
Vinay
Normal Variation
Detailed Answer:
Hello Again, Thanks for following up. I have taken another look at your blood work, The LFT's and Uric Acid levels in Particular. I understand that they are out of range per the ThyroCare Labs reference levels. But these numbers are NOT in anyway dangerous. Every human being will have minor variations in their normal levels and it's not something to worry about.
Uric Acid is a waste product and the enzymes that are elevated in your liver show that your liver is working a TINY bit harder than usual to metabolize certain chemicals that you have ingested (either preservatives in your food, medications that you may be taking, or alcohol).
I do not suggest that you take any extra medications to deal with this (as there is nothing wrong here and clinically you have not given any complaint of liver issues).
Instead I would suggest that you increase your daily intake of PLAIN fresh water (not sodas, juice, coffee etc). My rule of thumb is that you should take enough PLAIN fresh water such that you have to empty your bladder at least 3 times in a day. That will help normalize these numbers a bit. Also, if you have a tendency to smoke or drink alcohol on a regular basis, I would suggest you try and quit, that will bring these numbers down for sure.
if you take any regular medications for chronic health conditions (e.g. High Blood Pressure, diabetes, etc) then these numbers may never really go back to perfectly normal levels as the liver does have to work a little extra to metabolize these medications.
To Sum up, DO NOT WORRY, drink plenty of plain fresh water and look into your daily habits for clues as to what may be raising these numbers up a bit. There is no medication I can reccomedn to bring these numbers down any further, but this is a perfectly acceptable result an your liver is in fine health, per these blood tests.
