Brief Answer:
Injections, oral supplements, diet and sun exposure

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. A level of 8 nmol/L places your wife in the category of being 'deficient' which places her at a high risk of developing bone diseases. I would recommend the following:

-Vitamin D injections
-Vitamin D supplementation (supplements should contain vitamin D3 and calcium)
-Exposure to the sun for at least 15 minutes each day
-Diet rich in vitamin D like milk and dairy products, cheese, beef liver (if you do not mind eating beef), egg yolk, fish, fish oil, etc.

I hope you find my response helpful sir. Please do take your wife to see a doctor so the required medications can be prescribed and initiated at the earliest. Please also feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Any vitamin D3 and calcium preparate

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

Tablet CALCI-D (contains vitamin D3 and calcium)

But if at all this specific preparation is not available, just request the pharmacist to provide a supplement which has both vitamin D3 and calcium present. I would recommend vitamin D injections as your wife's vitamin D level is quite low and will not respond as well to only oral supplements alone.

I hope this helps sir. Please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
