Suggest Treatment For Low Hemoglobin Levels
Question: MY HEMOGLOBIN READING IS 1.7 ACORDING TO A RECENT TEST. I HAVE A HISTORY OF ULSERS AND I BELIEVE ONE IS RUPTURED CAUSING ME TO BE ANEMIC. SHOULD I GO TO AN ER AND GET A BLOOD TRANSFUSION? MY FAMILY DOCTOR KNOWS ALL THESE FACTS. SHE TOLD ME TO KEEP ON TAKING OMEPRAZOLE, WHICH I WAS ON, AND SEE HER IN 2 WEEKS. I TRIED TO GET A PRESCIPTRION FOR CHAROMALYN SODIUM TO HEAL THE ULSER, BUT TO NO AVAIL.
Brief Answer:
Approach ER immediately
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
Hb of 1.7 is extremely low. I strongly recommend you to approach the ER for blood transfusion and stabilization. Please do not delay it any further. Such low hemoglobin can lead to circulatory failure and death anytime
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
