Brief Answer:
Recommended steps to do to rule out cause of erectile disfunction

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

The starting tests that are recommended in all patients with erectile dysfunction are:
-- Fasting blood glucose or HbA1c if not measured in previous 12 months - to rule out diabetes
-- Lipid profile if not measured in previous 12 months - to identify dyslipidemia
-- Morning total testosterone level

If this is something happening just recently, you need to talk with him and figure out together if you want some things to happen differently. Problems in communication can be the most common cause of these problems, especially if he manages to masturbate without a problem.

We do not know if are his testosterone levels the problem. This problems happen in very old age and I see that you are very young.

Once treated the other causes like possible diabetes or obesity, and determined the low testosterone as the cause of erectile dysfunction then the most used drugs to treat this condition are oral phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitors which are first-line therapy for erectile dysfunction in most men.
Options include avanafil (Stendra, Spedra) 50-200 mg 15-30 minutes before intercourse, sildenafil (Viagra) 25-100 mg 1 hour before intercourse, ect.

Hope this is helpful.
