Question: My son is experiencing waves of pain in the lower right abdomen and down through his testicular area, with nausea and chills. More activity seems to bring it on the immobility

More activity brings it on, and the more immobile the less complications.

Mostly due to infection of either Epididymis or Testicle.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query , based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your son has suddenly developed pain in lower abdomen and testicle with chills and fever .
This could be mostly due to infection of either testicle (Orchitis ) or epididymis (Epididymitis)

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.

1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Ultrasound Scanning of scrotum .

In the mean while give him antibiotics like Augmentin twice daily along with anti inflammatory medication Diclofenac twice daily .

Ensure he drinks more water .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
