Brief Answer:
Some tests - Gyne opinion / General Surgeon

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.

To recapitulate main points: Female / 47 - pain and feeling if swelling in the lower abdomen- 8 years - swelling in hands and feet sometimes - regular periods with withdrawal bleeding sometimes - consulted MBBS Doctor - says may be uterus infection - antibiotics and pain killers - back pain always - flu and headache noted in the allergy section.

The most probable causes should be sought after. I would advise you the following:
- Consult a Gynecologist for clinical evaluation, actual physical examination and investigations like:
Ultrasonography (USG), preferably CT scan (as it shows more information, more accurate thing than USG)
Tests of blood, urine and stool: helps sometimes.
More important tests are:
Serum Proteins as less proteins is the cause of swelling in females at your age.
Thyroid function tests.

All these things done together will help to get a probable cause of pain and other symptoms you have.
It is also a better idea to get one consultation as a second opinion of a General Surgeon.

Please let me know if you have any other associated symptoms like burning urination, change in bowel habits, any relation of the pain with stress and anxiety, any factors which increase your pain and other symptoms.

Swelling on the feet and hands:
These can occur due to less hemoglobin, less proteins in the blood, Thyroid function is reduced (hypothyroidism), hormonal changes and so on.

Maintain a good diet and take supplements of Multi-vitamins, iron and Protein powder. These will help to boost immunity too.

I hope this answer helps you to get a proper diagnosis, and get a proper further treatment. Please feel free to ask for more or if you need further clarifications if you feel there is a gap of communication.
