Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain And Stiff Neck

I am a 37 YO female. I had surgery in XXXXXXX last year to remove most of my large bowel due to cancer cells found in polyps in the bowel. I have recovered from surgery very well although I have been very low in energy, as months go by the energy levels and my concentration is very weak, I spend a lot of time at home and have a spotty rash like ( small pimples) all over my neck and chest, arms and lower back. ( This flared up after surgery.) The doctor has prescribed Doxylin to help control it bu it just seems to be either getting worse or lingering. I have also developed a mild lower back pain ( not intolerable) and have a very stiff neck. The fatigue seems to be the worse problem. Are my individual symptoms related to each other or do they have anything to do with the bowel surgery I had? I appreciate your help
Will need a bit more information..
Detailed Answer:
Hi madam,
1 year is generally sufficient time to recover from a surgery of this nature. I would like a bit more information to understand the nature of the problem and help you better.
As you said you are weak nutritionally, so, did somebody do any investigation to find out the cause of this weakness? How has this been dealt with?
Did you take any medicine like chemotherapy after surgery?
The rash with pimples you described are on one side of body or bilateral? a photograph may help.
Do you have fever also?
Usually surgery on the large gut doesn't give such type of symptoms, surgery on the small gut (small intestines) can. If a major part of small gut is removed patient may get symptoms related to poor nutrition. I am not saying that this has happened to you, but the symptoms would be more consistent in that regard.
are you sure there is no tumor inside now? How has your cancer been screen for since surgery?
How is your appetite? Are you eating enough? Or is what you are eating not getting absorbed properly or there is some abnormal loss of energy (e.g. in malignancy / hyperthyroidism). This issue should be resolved. We can discuss how to resolve that when you follow-up with the answers.
