Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain

Question: What can i do to minimize the effects of a debilitating lower back pain which is low-intensity normally but sometimes spikes and quite intense.Along with this i am having a gastric problem where i sometimes have acid reflux and severe heartburn.

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms.

At this stage, physiotherapy is the best option. This may include IFT, ultrasound, traction, SWD etc for pain relief. Once the pain is less, then, you should also start back extension exercises.

Medications such as pregabalin and gabapentin capsules would also help you get relief from neuropathic pain.

Surgery has no role to play unless there is leg pain, or the pain increases on walking (claudication pain).
