Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain
Low Back Ache
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam,
Greetings,
After going through your history, I can understand the concern you have regarding the low back ache.My full sympathy is with you.
As per your query yes there are exercises/physiotherapy which can help you in bringing down the pain provided there is no fracture in any back bone including the tail bone and hip left side.
Also I would like to inform you that your cause of back pain is not yet diagnosed, for that I would like to obtain some more information from you like:-
1. What aggravates the pain and what releaves the pain,
2. Do you get pain daily or intermittently ?
3. Any history of lifting heavy weight in past ?
4. Any history of fall in the past excluding the present one ?
5. Do you have any investigation done of back like X-Ray, CT Scan, MRI. etc
If you are hearing sound from hip bone left one (grinding) as you have mentioned, then there is chance of fracture in hip bone exists on left side.
Now mam for back pain to occur there is lots of possibility exists like:-
1. Osteoarthritis of spine
2. Disc Prolapse,
3. Discitis,
4. Nerve root compression,
5. Sciatica,
6. PIVD L5,S1,.etc
So diagnosis is required, for that one most important investigation is MRI of Lumboscaral spine (gold standard) has to be done.
Hence I request you to kindly inform me the question I have asked above and get a MRI scan done, so that I can reach a diagnosis followed by remedy/Treatment.
As of now please do not do any severe massage in back or do not sit on bike, avoid prolong sitting and exertion, lifting heavy weight, etc.
You can apply some ointment like Volini gel, or hot fomentation.
Hope you understand the gravity of situation, and please do not hesitate to ask if any further query you have.
Expecting to listen back from you,
Wishing a good health and good luck,
Regards,
Thanks.
Sitting seems to aggravate the pain on the side of my hip, but my lower back hurts when I arch my back lean or to either side (it is worse to the left). Tylenol helps with the pain some, but it doesn't completely go away. Stretching helps some also.
2. Do you get pain daily or intermittently ?
I've had the pain everyday for about a week now, but have had this same or similar pain on and off for a couple of years.
3. Any history of lifting heavy weight in past ?
No, but I did seems to aggravate/worsen the pain when I lifted my baby from his swing when the pain initially started about a week ago (he weighs about 19 pounds).
4. Any history of fall in the past excluding the present one ?
Not really - I have fallen backward on my tailbone before.
5. Do you have any investigation done of back like X-Ray, CT Scan, MRI. etc.
Not yet.
I don't think that the pain is severe enough to be something associated with my spine or discs. I believe -- and it feels like -- it is associated with the hip muscles being pulled or tight. The day after I fell back on my tailbone, I did workout after not being active for a few weeks, and that's when the pain began, it then began to hurt worse after I picked up my son right when I woke up. I don't know if the grinding noise has anything to do with the pain. As I said, I've had that for a long time. It doesn't hurt when I walk and hear the grinding.
I do have health insurance so if I go get an MRI done, I'll just consult my doctor. But any advice is much appreciated. Thank you!

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam,
I appreciate for the prompt response. It would be good to persue treatment after MRI scan. Therefore my earnest request will be to seek an orthopedic and plan for investigations.
Until then I would suggest you rest the affected area well. It is not advisable to start exercise when the pain is bad. Warm compress, rest and antinflammatory drugs can help you until you get to see the doctor.
Hope it clears your doubt, if further any you are most welcome again,
Looking forward to listen back from you,
Wishing you speedy recovery and good health,
Regards,
Thanks.
