Suggest Treatment For Lump In The Genitals

Question: Hi, Ive been scared senseless from a bump on my private area. I think it's from masturbating with very little lubricant. At least I hope so.
Anyways, the bump is getting smaller and it's dried out a bit. Perhaps a blister?

Brief Answer:
If you provide a picture of it then it will be more helpful.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. If you provide a picture of it then it will be more helpful. You can upload it in report section.
Is it small bumps. ?
Is there itching or burning sensation. ?
Fungal infection or Fordyce spots can be the most likely possibility.
If fungal infection then using anti fungal ointments like miconazole or terbinafine ( lamisil ) for local application will be helpful.
Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

I've uploaded a picture. There's an itching sensation but it's not severe. Also, it has not spread at all. Hope this helps.

Welcome again.
Thank you for your follow up query.
I have gone through your picture. It looks like Fordyce spots. These are modified sebaceous prominences. They are harmless. Excessive sweaty and greasy environment on genital area can stimulate its occurrence. Presence of fungal infection or irritation can cause itching also.
You can use anti fungal ointments like miconazole or terbinafine ( lamisil ) for local application which will helpful to get rid off fungal infection and itching.
For Fordyce spots- taking more garlic, anti oxidant supplements, vitamin c and applying aloe Vera gel for local application will be helpful.
Use loose and cotton underwear. Avoid soaps for washing as it can irritate more. Instead you can use just warm water or saline to wash the area. If you want to use soap then you can use hypoallergenic soaps like cetaphil.

Thank you Dr. XXXXXXX Forgive me for not responding sooner.
I'm very pleased with your assessment and would like to just make sure everything occurring is still normal:) I've attached a follow up picture.
Feels like the skin has hardened but it is not spreading. My guess is I ripped the skin possibly master-bating with very little lubricant. Is there any indication I should be alarmed? What symptoms should I be looking for? Unfortunately I have dived into a world I'm not familiar with and I am reading on the internet of herpes and genital warts etc...
Forgive my ignorance. Thanks.
Thanks.
Brief Answer:
For herpes the bums will be painful.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.
Thank you for your follow up.
I have gone through the picture. Herpes bumps are usually painful and there will be crusting of rashes later on. It doesn't look like wart also. If it is present for long time like hardened bump then wart should be ruled out by consulting a dermatologist.
This can be due to irritation or friction while masturbation. Using ointments containing antibacterial like neomycin, anti fungal like miconazole and corticosteroids like hydrocortisone will be helpful for this.
Painless lesion is characteristic for syphilis. But this will occur after a risky unprotected sexual intercourse. If you had such history then better to go for a course of Doxycycline antibiotic to clear the possible infection. For this Doxycycline is given in dosage of 100mg twice daily for 7 days. It is a prescription drug also.
Let me know if anything no clear.
