Suggest Treatment For Lump Inside The Tongue
Question: I have developed a lump inside my tongue. It is towards the front ( I can stick out my tongue and feel it easily), on my right going slightly to the left of the tongue dividing cartilage. I would say altogether it is the size of 1/2 of my pinky fingernail. It is firm and tender on palpation. It is more oval than circular, and more flat than round. It does not move around when I sqeeze it. Under the right side of my tongue there are red spots like a developing rash that feels very tender and burn when I brush my teeth or touch it but no other time. It feels like an ulcer you can sometimes get on the side of your tongue if you eat the wrong things. Also for the last few months the sides of my tongue burn when I brush my teeth. I went to the doctor a few weeks ago because while I was rubbing on a few newly found round pea shaped non painfull bumps on the left side of my jaw, my left lip went knumb for a couple of hours. She told me they were salivary stones and to rub them to help them pass. They have not and the one on my left jawbone is bigger. It is not defined, Very hard like a bone protrusion and the skin covering it is irritated. On the left floor of my mouth is more sensitive skin covering the jawbone (only without the boney protrusion ) one more thing on the very top where the cartalidge meets my upper tongue and the bottom where the cartalidge meets the floor of my mouth there are very tiny round lumps on each side that move a little when manipulated and again the skin covering them is irritated. I know there is a lot going on inside my mouth.. I was at the dentist 4 months ago for cleaning and fillings.. I wasn't experiencing any of this and he didn't see anything alarming.. The only thing going on at that time was several tiny white patches on the back of my throat that my pcp said was cholesterol plaque. They are for the most part resolved with one small white residue on the left tonsil area. What the heck is goin on?

There definitely seems to be a lot going on in your mouth. Most of it sounds like salivary duct stones, ulcerations along the border of the tongue and white patches over the tonsils. All these may be contributed due to dehydration, lowering immunity and low vitamin levels.
To assess this in detail you need a physical examination of the tongue and then perhaps a course of antibiotics if necessary. At the moment your management is fine. You may want to add a good B Complex and Vitamin C supplement in your daily diet for a month along with drinking plenty of fluids.
Do see an ENT specialist or an oral pathologist for evaluation and management.

What does the vitamin c and b12 complex do for you? Build your immunity? Because i also have typeII Diabetes with a 6.5 a1c. Also diagnosed with fibromyalgia 8 years ago and was just recently diagnosed with gastroparesis which cancelled out most of the veggies i was trying to get into my diet.
