Facing multiple diseases simultaneously
Detailed Answer:
Hi!
Welcome to health care magic!
I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.
It is sad to know about the problems you have been facing lately, but you seem to be a real brave person, as it takes a big heart to face such issues with such courage and determination. It would be unfair to commend you for decreasing smoking and feeling guilty about it. I hope you get over this habit permanently sooner or later. As your well being is extremly important for your kids and you have done quite well so far, to be a good and concerned mother.
We have to take all the issues one by one. As you mentioned about your outgrowth on right side of the neck and then the involvement of right half of head and neck for local pain and tenderness. This reflects involvement of nerve or pressure symptoms due to local inflammation. This growth needs to be evaluated in detail by a surgeon and may be subjected to ultrasound or fine needle aspiration and biopsy. Also any link to thyroid or lymph nodes needs to be established. For temporary relief you can use analgesics or anti inflammatory drugs for pain and pressure symptoms and if feverish feeling progresses to recorded temperature then consideration of prophylactic antibiotics like augmentin can be discussed with your GP.
Meanwhile as you mentioned the symptoms relating to the chest, you can get them evaluated by an EKG to be on the safe side. If there is no known focal cause then it may be attributed to anxiety or post traumatic stress disorder recurrence or withdrawl symptoms of those anxiolytic medications. For that you will have to discuss need to for referal to psychiatrist with your local GP.
PCOs issue seems to be resolved so until there are no symptoms reflecting recurrence you need to relax from that.
As far as having proteins and blood in blood, that is the most concerning things in my point of view. For that a detailed evaluation of 24 hour proteins urinary excretion and ultrasound or CT of Kidneys ureter and bladder should be performed. All the reports need to be discussed with a nephrologist along with review of renal function tests alongwith electrolytes including calcium and phosphate to rule out any kidney disease. Saying that it can be due to stress is ok but still before concluding to a benign cause we need to rule out any aygrassive glomerular or kidney disease. I wish you a speedy recovery and wish you have more strength and determination to overcome all the issues.
Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
