Brief Answer:
Oral mucocoele or mucous cyst
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I find that this is the first such occurence of the pea sized lump inside of the lip. This is mostly a mucocoele or mucous cyst in technical terms. This is non serious entity and does not require any treatment. The reasons could be injury by any reason, bad tooth, rupture of salivary gland.
IT resolves spontaneously on its own in three days to a weeks time. IF it does not then it requires a surgical removal by a dentist. Some dentists / GP's would apply Metronidazole Oral paint over it but it has known to be very little effect.
I suggest to leave it if it does not improve you can see a local dentist.
