Brief Answer:
It is curable.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, Hi
Good afternoon.

I appreciate your concern for your wife.

There is nothing to worry about the disease she is suffering from, effective medicines are available to eradicate the infection.
I have gone through the history and the uploaded reports,
She is suffering from tuberculosis of the lung.

TB is a chronic infectious diseases caused by a bacteria (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) which spreads by droplets which originate from an infected person while coughing, sneezing or even talking loudly. Primarily it affects the lungs other organs affected include lymph nodes, bones, intestine, brain (meninges), etc.

Will you please name the medication that is suspected to have caused the skin allergy?
Is she suffering from cough with or without sputum, fever, loss of appetite and weight loss?

Regards.

Brief Answer:
She must take the medications as prescribed.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, Hi

Thanks for your reply.

Gone through two prescriptions dated 04-09-2014 and 27-09-2014.
Although the names of the prescribed medications are not so clear, but it seemed to me allergy could have been caused by one of the prescribed medications like Isoniazide, Rifampcin, Pyrazinmide, or so.

Tuberculosis is totally curable provided the medications are taken for at least 6-9 months. First 2 months of intensive phase 4 drugs (Isoniazide, Rifampicin, Pyrazinamide with either Ethambutol or Streptomycin) are prescribed.
This is followed by 4 months course of continuation phase of 2 or 3 drugs (Isoniazide, Rifampicin with or without Ethambutol) are prescribed along with Vitamin Pyridoxine.

If she has taken the prescribed medications then no need to worry.

Hope to have answered your query.
