Suggest Treatment For Male Candidiasis And Rashes On Penis

Question: I think husband has male candidiasis. He has some sort of rash on the tip of his penis, on the shaft and the ring.Looks like blisters. It burns when washed with soap. What should we do? What OTC medication can you suggest? It increases when he comes after playing and sweating. As of now he has been applying candid b cream for 5 days. There has been little improvement. The problem has been there for around 15 days.
Brief Answer:
Use candid cream rather than candid b cream, upload picture
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have gone through the query, it is difficult comment without examination.
Had you visited doctor for confirmation, how you do you know this is candidiasis? If it is possible, kindly upload the picture for better assessment.
I would have treated you with candid cream rather than candid b cream. Keep the area clean and avoid sexual contact.
I'll be happy to help you further, upload the picture for better assessment.
Hope this helps

I do not have a pic as he is not in town. I maybe wrong about candidiasis. He just told me his issue.
I again questioned he says it looks like blisters, small/tiny red dots on the penis head and around the ring.

Brief Answer:
May be viral infection, use acyclovir gel
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Good to hear from you.
As you have mentioned about blister, it may indicate towards viral infection. Since we do not have a picture for assessment, I would suggest that he see's a doctor and confirm the cause. Until then I would suggest to use acyclovir gel, which can be obtained as over the counter medication.
Hope this helps.

Brief Answer:
Relapse less likely if proper treatment taken
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Yes, viral can be std. And there is a chance of you getting it. It is better to avoid sexual contact, till it is cured.
If treatment is taken properly, the chances of relapse is less. But the partners have to take the treatment.
Hope this helps.
