Brief Answer:
Mechanical neck pain

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
From description it seems you might be suffering Mechanical neck pain.
It is a common medical problem. Mechanical pain implies the source of pain is in the spine and/or its supporting structure. The surrounding muscles and ligaments may develop reactive spasm and pain.
The following measures will help with the pain
• Lie on a hard bed. Avoid using a pillow.
• Anti -inflammatory drugs like Tablet Motrin or Brufen 1 tablet as and when required ( do not repeat a dose before 6 hours) with food will help relieve the pain.
• Correct your posture while sitting. Avoid driving. You can go by bus and train.
• Avoid prolonged sitting
• Avoid strenuous activity & lifting heavy weights.
• Apply diclofenac gel on the affected area. Warm compresses will also help.

The most essential and long lasting remedy is exercises. There are certain strengthening and isometric exercises that you must learn from a physiotherapist and perform them at home or work whenever possible.

Do adequate warming up before starting the exercises daily.
Taking calcium and vitamin D 3 supplements will also help in early recovery. You can get these prescribed from your orthopedician.

I hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
Not due to neck pain.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The problem of forgetfulness is not related to the neck pain. It is likely to be due to depression and anxiety. These can cause a kind of “brain fog” that makes it difficult to concentrate and pay attention to things. As a result, it is harder for depressed or anxious people to store information in short term memory.
You can do meditation, yoga and deep breathing exercises to decrease the problem.
Do consult your physician for a good antianxiety drug with low day time sedation to decrease the problem.
Hope my answer is helpful.
