Suggest Treatment For Melasma
Question: i am suffering from Hyperpigmentation & Melasma. What is solution available?
Brief Answer:
Management of melasma
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
For melasma I recommend my patients to use depigmenting creams containing triple combination like mometasone, tretinoin and hydroquinone on the pigmented areas at night along with application of a broad spectrum sunscreen on the entire face during the day time.
Various triple combinations available in the market are melalite XL cream, HH lite cream and Melapik cream.
You can use either of the above at night on the blemishes for 3-4 weeks.
I also recommend my patients to take tablet tranxaemic acid 250 mg twice daily for 3-4 months.
All these are prescription drugs and should be used under the supervision of the doctor.

Brief Answer:
Melasma not directly related to lack of vitamins
Detailed Answer:
Melasma has multiple causes.
It can be genetic, hormonal, associated with thyroid disorders, intake of oral contraceptives, certain medications, excessive sun exposure and sometimes without any cause.
It is usually not related to lack of vitamins.
Antioxidants are prescribed in treatment of melasma as they take care of the damage caused by sun and other oxidative processes.
