Suggest Treatment For Migraine

Question: I have been having migraine quite often for the last couple of months. What remedy should be taken to avoid. This doesnot reduce unless I go to sleep or vomit out

Thanks for query.

I understand your concern. You haven't described whether you are taking any pills for migraine or not. If I would have been your treating doctor I would recommend Tab DOLO 650mg during severe headache episode. Tab DOLO can be bought at any pharmacy without prescription. Tab EMESET 8mg whenever you have vomiting episodes. You get EMESET only by prescription of a doctor.
If Migraine episodes are hampering your quality of life or reducing the work productivity or frequent attacks more than 5 a month you can consider migraine prophylaxis with Sibelium. You can discuss this with a Neurologist. I also recommend to make a migraine diary with all triggers, pain scale and relieving factors, this helps the neurologist as well.

hello Doctor,

Thank you for your advice. I am not taking any pills as of now. Its only disprin that I take when its unbearable.

Also I would like to add that I observe that I suffer from migraine in situations when I am sitting in the AC for long, or I smell a strong perfume or when I do something different from my regular routine work or travel long distance.

Also I would like to know if Tab DOLO 650mg has any side effects and can this be consumed anytime when I have migraine or is it to be taken after a meal or so.

Thank you for query.

You can take Tab.DOLO which contains paracetamol, after a meal and its a safe drug. Stop taking Disprin because it causes gastritis. Sitting under AC,Strong perfumes, chocolates, long travels are typical precipitating factors that can cause migraine.Take breaks whenever you travel.Avoid sitting under direct blow of AC.
