Suggest Treatment For Mild Fever, Lack Of Appetite And Fatigue

Question: My husband seems to have a low grade fever, around 100 degrees, lack of appetite, and fatigue. What can be the cause?
Brief Answer:
Please to provide more information for better assessment
Detailed Answer:
Hello
I really appreciate your concern for your husband
At the outset I would like further information for better assessment of the condition
Since how long he is having this problem?
Is he having sore throat, running nose or coughing
Is he passing yellowish coloured urine?
How's his bowel movement, any complaints of loose motion or constipation or pain in abdomen?
In my opinion you can give him acetaminophen for fever and multivitamin supplements
Ask him to have plenty of fluids to maintain good hydration.
Please write back to me with these details so that I will be able to tell you more accurately.
Best wishes

He started the problem yesterday. We had a week long travel and had been eating outside food. His stools and urine seem normal. No sore throat or running nose or cough.
Brief Answer:
He might be having gut or liver infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome again
He might be having infection or inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract or liver due to outside food.
I would advise him to get blood test done for CBC and liver function test or an ultrasound abdomen if need be.
Meanwhile please follow the guidelines I have suggested in my previous reply
Give him fresh fruits and steamed vegetables
No smoking and alcohol
Please feel free to ask for follow up question I will be happy to help you

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome again
This might be related to statin as well but he is taking it since last 2 weeks and he has developed fever and loss of appetite since yesterday so to be on safe side, it's better to rule out infective condition first by baseline investigation like CBC and Liver function test.
You are right tonact TG can cause loss of appetite and damages the liver as a side effect of medicines which can be ascertained by liver function test.
Hope you will find my reply informative and helpful, please feel free to ask for follow up.
Wishing you both good health
