Suggest Treatment For Mild Pain And Swelling In The Chest

For the last 2~3 days I am feeling continuous mild pain at 2 location on my chest -
1) Centre of my chest, in between the nipples on little left side, may be 1 cm left side from the center.
2) Little down of the left side where the ribs end. Skin seems swollen just below the left side bottom rib. picture attached for better explanation.
Not sure what is the cause of this pain. Not sure if it is external pain (On Ribs) or internal pain but there is no external injury.
Pain at both location is quite disturbing.
Pl advice.
needs further evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
How was your day?
Hope this message finds you in good health.
I have gone through your complaints and understand your concern.
The 1st pain which you are talking about in between your nipples may be due to costochondritis, i.e, the site where a rib and the midline bone sternum meet. this inflammation can be caused without any trauma. generally heals up well with analgesics, anti inflammatory tablets, and if needed a antibiotic.
The 2nd pain, swelling that you are talking about is accompanied by swelling, which is quiet unusual without trauma.
it may occur by some soft tissue collection or inflammation, may be due to some erosion of underlying ribs, some intra abdominal pathology or it may be connected to the 1st site.
i would suggest you to start the above mentioned tablets for a few days.
if symptoms still dont subside, get a xray or ct of that part, and usg abdomen to find out whats wrong.
You should eventually get back to normal in coming few days.Nothing to worry about, as long as i am there to help you.
I hope your question has been answered.
Feel free to consult me anytime for follow-up queries. Take care,God bless.
Wish you a healthy life : )
