Suggest Treatment For Mood Swings And Aggressive Nature In A Teenage Girl Just Before Periods

Question: My 18 year old daughter , one week or so before her period, cries for no reason, can't handle criticism or perceived criticism and is easily angered. Is there a vitamin or supplement I can give her? I need to help her through this and I have no idea how. Thank you
Brief Answer:
It is not uncommon at this age.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
Giving her vitamin or health supplements would not really help. But I would suggest going for a cognitive behavioral therapy with a psychologist. It is not unusual for adolescents to undergo such mood changes. It is important to get it handled. I think that you can tell her that it will help her to cope better with the stressful situation she might be facing, and it really would.
Hope that helps.

I do not have any insurance so your suggestion is not going to work. Do you have any other suggestions?
Brief Answer:
I am afraid tthat I need to ask you to bear the costs
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.
I understand that you do not have insurance but unfortunately that does not mean that your family's health problems need no management. I do not have other alternatives to ssuggest and pardon me for the same.
