Brief Answer:
Ultrasound of the neck for evaluation of the lump.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to health care magic.

1.There are few possibilities first thing - Lymph nodal enlargement ( which can be due to any infection / inflammation localised or systemic)
2.Second possibilities - cystic lesion from thyroid gland itself.
3.Lastly Brachial cleft cysts and sub mandible gland lesions (can be solid or ductal dilatation).
4.You need to get an ultrasound neck - that will help to evaluate the nature of the lesion, its source and extensions. Relation to the adjacent anatomical structures.
5. Definitive diagnosis can be made by FNAC - fine needle aspiration cytology.

Good luck.
