Suggest Treatment For Muscle Aches And Inflammation

The muscle aches and inflammation I have been experiencing since May 2014 is still there. It seems to me that the pain is getting worse. I am not able to sleep well because of it. I am easily distracted because of the level of pain. My doctor is not sure of any thing yet but prescribed cataflam and nueflex for me but even with the medicine I am still having serious inllammation all over my body. I just want to know the tests to do. At least I am sure I do not have Hiv. I did urine culture and no growth was found. Another doctor suspected low creatin level but the test I did show is it is normal. I did a FBC and my neutrophil, lymphocyte and monocytes are all within range. PVC is 40% HB is 13.3 which they said is okay. Please what do I do.
C reactive protein or ESR tests
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome.
I have read your history and previous questions carefully.
The muscle aches can be due to a number of reasons e.g poor posture ,over exertion , Rheumatoid arthritis, gout etc
If you are concerned about inflammation , you can get a C reactive protein or ESR done via your G.P , if that is normal then don't worry about inflammation.
I would advise the following tests in consultation with your doctor
CK (creatinine kinase) MM
R.A factor
Anti CCP , Anti Nuclear Abs (ANA)
I would recommend you to consult a psychiatrist to discuss with you your perception of your illness or other problems in detail and get a XXXXXXX mental state exam to rule out anxiety, depression or phobia.
let me know if you have any query
thanks

1 Crp-C reactive protien 16.9 range is 0-5.0
2 packed cell volume 41.3 range is 41.5- 50.4
3. Mch 25.5 Range is 27-32
4. Lymphocytes 15.9 range is 20-45
5. Total cholesterol is 229.9 Range is 130-230
6. LDL is 155 Range is 100-129
RA factor is within range,CPK is within range.
Please advise on what next I should do especially concerning the C- Reactive protien that is very high others that are out range. How do I bring the C reactive protien down. Is it possible that is what is causing the inflammation and muscle aches.

Detailed Answer:
hello again,
CRP is raised in a number of conditions, you require a detailed physical examination and history to rule out any related cause for any focus of
Acute or chronic inflammatory conditions
Tissue necrosis or tissue injury
Ischemia or infarction of issues
Infection, inflammation
Metabolic syndrome
Malignant tumors especially of breast, lung and gastrointestinal tract
Acute pancreatitis
Post-surgery
Burn
Leukemia
Tobacco smoking
Hormone replacement therapy
Obesity
you require a detailed physical examination and history to rule out any related cause for any focus of infection or inflammation
CRP level is useful both in the clinical assessment of chronic inflammatory disorders and assessment of vascular inflammation; and therefore, in cardiovascular risk stratification. CRP level has been found to be an independent risk factor for atherosclerotic disease. In patients with coronary artery disease, high CRP level is associated with increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.
As the LDL is high too, I would recommend diet and lifestyle changes and if the LDL continues to rise then a Statin drug may be started in consult with your Doctor.
thanks.

I am hoping to be in the States in October then a thorough examination may be done. But before then what should I do to bring down the high CRP c reactive protien. Is there a drug for it.
Again does Crp have any relationship with high cholesterol?

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,
I am sorry for your distress.
CRP is just a marker for inflammation, the underlying cause of inflammation must be treated which would bring the CRP down automatically. So to answer your question, There is no drug specifically intended to bring CRP down and you would require an extensive history and physical exam by an internal medicine doctor , preferably to ascertain the cause.
Yes cholesterol and lipid profile do have a relationship w.r.t outcome of a patient. your doctor was right in advising Lipid profile as highly sensivie CRP indicates future vascular risk.
let me know if you have any query
I will be more than glad to guide you
thanks

Please doctor what do you think is happening. Should in repeat the test?
I am very sorry to bother you again, but I just need help.

Detailed Answer:
hello again.
you are not bothering me at all. please feel free to share any problem you are having. Im happy to be of help to you.
The body aches ,crp elevation, inflammation or muscle aches could be related to your sore throat due to an acute infection.
non specific Lymph nodes swelling ( lymphadenopathy) is caused by a number of conditions. so i again urge you to get a thorough physical exam as such signs and symptoms need 1st hand experience to comment.
you didnt specify which antibodies you got tested for. i would advise you not to conduct any more tests without the recommendation of a doctor
during your interaction with me , i could sense quite a bit of anxiety and worry. i would humbly advise you to get a psychiatric opinion for a XXXXXXX mental state exam to rule out anxiety , panic or phobias associated with your condition.
do let me know if you have any other questions or issues with which you need help. i will be more than glad to answer.
thanks
