Carvedilol and Clopidogrel needs continuation n long term in case of DD
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX.
I understand your query and concern.
I have gone through all your test results.
Your CBC,Thyroid and Hb1ac are within normal limits.
Regarding Atorvastatin, you need to replace it with another similar drug.
The mild Tricuspid and Pulmonary Regurgitation are okay in the present context.
But Moderate Mitral regurgitation and Severe diastolic dysfunction needs early medical attention.
The majority of your symptoms listed like lack of energy, severe fatigue, are related to this Diastolic dysfunction/DD.
Where as Constipation,Urinary hesitancy are related to Use of Doxepin.
You should not get off Clopidogrel ,since it can lead to in stent thrombosis/blood clot.
Likewise,Carvedilol will cause rebound hypertension of discontinuation which can lead to worsening of diastolic dysfunction.Carvedilol will help to improve diastolic dysfunction.
You need to continue Baby aspirin as well, which has the advantage of preventing future heart attacks.
Its advisable to discontinue Doxepin, since its not a safe drug in older adults.
Diastolic dysfunction/DD needs to be treated with drugs like Ace inhibitors like Telmisartan.
DD has overall good prognosis.
Post your further queries,if any.
Thank you.
Immune supplements can be taken.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.
I understand your query and concern.
Yes you can take immune supplements to boost your heart and body.
Yes you can reduce the list of medication you use with the help of your treating doctors. This applies to even Doxepin. This has to be a gradual process and it takes approx 6 months of time.
Exercise is currently not the option since you have diastolic dysfunction .
All you need currently is an early treatment with Ace Inhibitors to improve your overall well being.
Thank you.
As for exercise, is it ok to do slow dance if I can do it or I have to stop exercise completely.
I was feeling extremely hot last night even though it was cold. was it something to do with my thyroid that I feel hot and cold?
Its better to have a Complete thyroid testing
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam,
I understand your query and concern.
Immune supplements containing Echinacea should be avoided at all cost,.
Those containing Astragalus, proprietary mushrooms and alkaloids are okay .
B complex vitamins are the best among the rest.
Slow dance is allowed once a while.
Its important to get a complete thyroid function testing for the heat/cold indifference which you are currently experiencing.
Thank you.
