Posted on Thu, 12 Nov 2015
Question: I feel my legs are weak daily when I go to bed. I feel very relaxed when somebody massages my feet and legs under the knees before I go to sleep. I am not sure if this is because of weakness or symptoms for any desease. can you help to find out cause for it.

Brief Answer:
Possible Electrolyte imbalance,Needs evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

I understand your concern.

Your symptoms are suggestive of Dyselectrolytemia leading to muscle weakness.

I advise you to get Serum electrolytes and complete blood picture to confirm the diagnosis.

Treatment depends on the test results.

Brief Answer:
You should go for serum electrolytes

Detailed Answer:
Hello, XXXXXXX

I can understand your concern.

I have gone through your reports in detail.

The lab changes are minor, particularly in the presence of Crohn's disease and Azora 125 mg.

Even after going through your reports, I still feel you should go for serum electrolytes.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Dyselectrolytemia ruled out.Possibility of RLS (mild) is high.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can understand your concern.

I apologize for the delayed response owing to my hectic work schedule.

I have gone through your recent uploaded reports.

The electrolyte levels are normal.

The possibility of Restless leg syndrome/RLS is high.

But before ruling it in, we need to exclude thrombotic disorder of the lower legs vessels.

For this, I advise you to get Duplex Colour Doppler Ultrasound of legs.

Further, I would like to know the drug content of AZORA 125 mg, since I am unable to find its generic name.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Azoran will not cause calf symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I have gone through the AZORAN 125 mg. It is composed of azathioprine.

This drug is not implicated in your calf symptoms.

Thromboembolic disease runs a 3 time higher risk in patients with Crohns Disease.Hence, screening for the same is advised.

Update me Colour Doppler scan reports.

Thank you.
