Brief Answer:
Intranasal steroid sprays with azelastine
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Nasal allergy is a common problem and the three main symptoms: 1. Excessive
sneezing, 2. Watery
rhinorrhea, 3. Itching of nose.
Eye allergy symptoms may or may not be associated with
allergic rhinitis.
Similarly
skin allergy may or may not be there along with allergic rhinitis.
Intranasal steroid nasal sprays are the commonly used and one of the most accepted form of treatment for allergic rhinitis. Other forms are the use of oral antihistaminics and sometimes oral steroids also are added to the treatment.
Eye symptoms can be controlled by antiallergic eye drops but use of a nasal spray with a combination of azelastine with
fluticasone controls the eye symptoms in many cases. But if the eye symptoms do not respond to ths, an ophthalmology opinion should be taken to deal with eye allergy.
Skin allergy usually is treated with oral antihistaminics and steroids are added on need basis as decided by a
dermatologist to control flare ups. If skin allergy is localized, the local application of steroid creams helps.
So, for nasal part, intranasal steroid sprays are a safe and effective way of treating the problem with or without azelastine combination.
About garlic pills, I do not have any expertise to comment on this modality of treatment.
