Brief Answer:
Nausea and stomach discomfort.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX
Age is 50 year, having nausea , stomach pain , vomiting.
Reason of such complaints :Alcohol and sugary products .
Q; What could be a symptoms of?
Ans:
The first possibility is of peptic ulcer disease . Diagnosis can be confirmed by upper GI Endoscopy. In this situation ,these measures may be useful.
Try raising the head of your nephew bed about 4 inches with blocks. It also might help to avoid eating or drinking for 2-3 hours before he lie down. To help control stomach acid one should not DRINK ALCOHOL or drinks with caffeine in them or eat chocolates or spicy or greasy or sugary food.
Also take some antacid but if symptoms are severe he may need drugs like proton pump inhibitors like pantoprazole-D , whenever require.
Sometimes alcohol causes reaction in an individuals , so ,if possible avoid this and this is a part of treatment .
Same is here for sugar , as you mentioned that eats sugary food he feels nausea . This is due to hyper acidity caused by sugary products . They develop gastritis ( hyper acidity ) and this produces nausea, stomach pain and also vomiting , if consumed in large quantity .
In my opinion the avoidance is the best treatment .
However for confirmation , please get in upper G I endoscopy to rule out peptic ulcer disease.
Hope I have answered your question.
Further , if any question I will reply.
Good luck.
