Suggest Treatment For Nausea, Cold Sweats And Fatigue

Question: hello. I spoke with two doctors recently, about my father who is 72 and who has been having health issues. He has had every test imaginable, and the doctors don't have any idea what's wrong with him. His symptoms include extreme weakness, nausea after meals, and cold sweats. Those are the biggest symptoms. One of the doctors I spoke with said that he could possibly have chronic fatigue syndrome. they said that's one of the things he could have. Now chronic fatigue syndrome is unable to be tested for right? Also, there's not really any treatments are there? If he does have chronic fatigue syndrome, what do you suggest he do? Thank you. Oh, also, how would he find out whether or not he has it?
Brief Answer:
Further examination towards chronic fatigue syndrome.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HealthcareMagic.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Chronic fatigue syndrome is a diagnosis difficult to be achieved and mainly is a diagnosis of exclusion of other possible conditions.
Clinical examination by a Doctor is the first step.
Infections are considered as one of the causes, so, your husband should get examined about infections such EBV, chlamydia pneumonia.
No effective treatment(s) exist about chronic fatigue syndrome if an infection will be found it should be treated.
IgM levels should be measured also.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Feel free to ask further.
Take care.
