Question: 1 1/2 yrs ago I had a colon re-section (8in resection) requiring 5in surgical opening below belly button.
Absolutely no problems at all. Question - why now is my belly round and full? I am about 25# overweight.

Brief Answer:
yes,but can be corrected
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome. Belly button is always more or less deformed after surgical procedures in abdomen especially if median laparotomy was done. Some surgeons care for estetics, some not and and dont fix it to underlying fascia. It means that belly button may later become more elastic and moveable. Also, umbilcial hernias may occur,it means that belly button is filled with intrabdominal fat or bowel. It can be corrected by abdominal surgeon. Wish you good health. Regards
