Brief Answer:
About night sweats

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

I am sorry you are having a problem with night sweats. I strongly recommend that you go in to see your doctor about this. Some women continue to get night sweats for years from menopause, and estrogen can help this. But these women also get hot flashes during the day and I would not expect someone your age to still be getting hormonally caused hot flashes and night sweats.

Certain medications can cause night sweats too. These include antidepressant medications, blood sugar lowering medicines, and hormone therapy.

Sleep disorders such as sleep apnea sometimes cause night sweats.

Infections can cause night sweats too. But so also can various cancers including lymphoma. For this reason I think you should go in to see your doctor, have a very thorough physical exam, a CBC (complete blood count) and peripheral smear.

Treatment will depend on what the cause of the night sweats are. But the cause needs looking into.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information or clarification.
